Erich Ringewald

Erich Ringewald has an extensive background in technology and engineering, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at Aerospike since July 2021. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Chief Enterprise Architect at PayPal from January 2021 to April 2024, and holding multiple senior leadership roles at American Express from September 2012 to January 2021, including SVP of Enterprise Architecture and SVP of Software Product Management. Erich co-founded BOKU, Inc., where roles included CTO and SVP of Engineering from January 2009 to September 2012. Earlier career highlights feature a tenure at Amazon.com as General Manager of Amazon Music from December 2004 to January 2009 and as Vice President of the Third Party Seller Platform in the Marketplace division from June 1999 to December 2001. Additional notable positions include Vice President at Accept.com and Be, Inc., as well as a managerial role at Apple focused on Mac OS Development during the early years of personal computing. Erich began an engineering career at Tecmar after graduating from Case Western Reserve University.
