David Swanson

David Swanson has over 18 years of work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical field. David is currently serving as the Director of Medical Sciences at Aerovate Therapeutics, Inc. In their previous role at Gilead Sciences, they held the position of Principal Medical Scientist for 16 years. During their time at Gilead Sciences, David established strong relationships with opinion leaders and clinical investigators, and presented complex scientific and clinical data for various products. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Medical Liaison at Myogen, Inc., where they played a key role in the launch of amberisentan for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension. David also worked as a Senior Medical Scientist at Actelion Pharmaceuticals US, Inc., specializing in pulmonary arterial hypertension and delivering medical support to both external and internal customers. Their work experience also includes serving as an Associate Director of Medical Affairs at MedImmune Oncology, Inc., where they were responsible for overseeing a Phase 4 research trial.

David Swanson completed their education at the University of Arizona, College of Pharmacy. David received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmacy in 1988, followed by a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree in 1989. David then pursued further studies at Bucknell University, where they completed Masters Work in Business Administration in 1994.
