Farzad J. Behboodi is a seasoned aerospace professional with extensive experience in avionics certification and airworthiness for unmanned aerial systems and manned aircraft. Currently serving as Principal Airworthiness and Safety Engineer at AeroVironment since January 2019, Farzad leads the Airworthiness, Reliability, Maintainability, and Safety team. Previous roles include serving as a committee member for the BVLOS Advisory Rule-making Committee at the Federal Aviation Administration, and as Avionics Certification System Engineer at SpaceX, where responsibilities encompassed ensuring compliance for Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launch vehicles. With a career spanning over two decades, Farzad has held various technical and managerial positions at esteemed companies such as Bombardier Aerospace, Bell Helicopter, Boeing, Thales, and Field Aviation, demonstrating expertise in avionics systems integration, flight test certification, and project management. Farzad holds an Engineer's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa.
