John Wertz

John Wertz is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in aerospace and mechanical engineering. Currently serving as an AeroMechanical Engineering Manager at AeroVironment since June 2020, John previously held the position of Director of Engineering at Aeroscraft Corporation from April 2009 to June 2020. Earlier in their career, John worked as a Robotic System Programmer and CNC Department Supervisor at Chromalloy from April 2005 to December 2008, and as a Database Development Assistant at Clark Pacific in mid-2002. John earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis (1999-2005) and obtained a Certificate in Project Management from California State University-Dominguez Hills, in addition to studying at The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University from 2004 to 2005.
