Matthew Fehl

Matthew Fehl is an experienced GNC Engineer II at AeroVironment, specializing in the development of flight control systems for UAV platforms since September 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at The Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University, focusing on control system design, AI development, and UAV navigation systems from May 2019 to September 2022. Additionally, Matthew served as a Research and Development Engineer Intern, where responsibilities included designing multicopters, developing control systems, and performing flight testing. Earlier experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Penn State involved testing a Microwave Thermal Rocket Thruster. Matthew holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a Graduate Minor in Computational Science from Penn State University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Minor in Engineering Mechanics from the same institution.
