Phil Rottenborn

Phil Rottenborn serves as the Senior Director of Business Development at AeroVironment, focusing on US Army programs since September 2022. In this role, Phil leads teams to formulate strategies for capturing new business through effective customer engagement and product development. Previously, Phil held various positions within the US Army from June 1997 to November 2022, culminating in the role of Army Officer and Project Manager at a Colonel/GS-15 level, overseeing significant systems like the Integrated Fires Mission Command. Earlier experience includes servitude as a Product Manager for the Joint Air-to-Ground Missile system and as an Assistant Program Manager for the THAAD program at the Missile Defense Agency. Phil holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Strategic Studies from the USAF Air War College and an MBA from the Naval Postgraduate School.
