Autonomy Software Engineer at AeroVironment

Ryan Friedman is an experienced Autonomy Software Engineer currently at AeroVironment, having transitioned from a role as Autonomy Software Engineer (III) where significant contributions included the refactoring of the Puma autonomy code to ROS 2 and enhancing the Puma ARK product. Prior to AeroVironment, Ryan served as a Linux Firmware Engineer at Trimble Inc., focusing on wireless networking for autonomous vehicles, and held roles in testing and automation across various companies, including the development of test systems for fuel cells at the Colorado Fuel Cell Center and automated testing at Iftron Technologies. Ryan holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, supplemented by diverse internships and roles in autonomous systems and engineering from educational beginnings at Boulder High.
