Emily Burks is a seasoned legal and business executive with extensive experience in the renewable energy and legal sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of Hydrogen Projects and Origination and Market Development at The AES Corporation since January 2022, Burks previously held the position of Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Community Energy, Inc., where Emily played a pivotal role in the company's 10 GW platform sale and closed over 55 deals related to utility-scale solar projects. With a robust background in employment and real estate law, Burks has also contributed to various law firms and educational institutions, demonstrating a consistent record of leadership and strategic development across multiple industries. Burks holds a JD from the University of California, Los Angeles, and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology from Cornell University.
