Jose Vega Piñeiro has a diverse work experience in the field of security and risk management. Jose has held various roles in different companies, starting from their position as Second Sergeant of war materials in the Secretar\u00eda de la Defensa Nacional (SEDENA) from 1995 to 1999. Jose then worked as a Security Coordinator for Grupo Iusacell from 1999 to 2003. Later, they joined Nacional Monte de Piedad as a Supervisor Security Officer from 2004 to 2009. Jose then became a Country Security Coordinator at Weatherford de Mexico from 2009 to 2015. After that, they worked as a Security Manager Mexico at Jacobs from 2015 to 2017. Jose then joined Zurich Insurance Company Ltd as a Sub-Director Security Corporate from 2017 to 2018. Following that, they served as the Country Security Corporate Manager at Halliburton from 2018 to 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Head Of Security Country Senior at The AES Corporation starting from 2021. Throughout their career, Jose has focused on implementing security measures, risk assessments, employee training, physical security, and managing security contracts.
Jose Vega Piñeiro completed their education at three different institutions. From 2020 to 2024, they attended Universidad Tecnológica de México, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Law. In 2012, they enrolled in the American Society for Industrial Security to prepare for the Certified Protection Professional Exam (CPP), focusing on Security and Loss Prevention Services. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1997, they attended Universidad del Ejército y Fuerza Aérea, where they obtained a Technicians degree in Maintenance and Repair of Firearms. Jose also holds a certification from ASIS International Chapter Mexico, granted by ASIS.
