Matthew Morrissey

Matthew Morrissey, CFA, has extensive experience in project finance, currently serving as Senior Manager at The AES Corporation within the AES Clean Energy division since July 2019. Responsibilities include negotiating financing structures and capital raises with external investors. Previously, as Project Finance Lead at AES Distributed Energy, Matthew developed complex financial models to optimize capitalization and assess project economics. Prior to AES, Matthew worked at CoBank from July 2016 to June 2019 as a Credit Analyst focused on the power, energy, and utilities sectors, and gained foundational experience as a Credit Development Associate with formal credit analysis training. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Kennesaw State University.
