Alastair Smeaton

Alastair Smeaton is an experienced information services professional currently serving as the European IS/IT Director at AESC since September 2021, having previously held senior managerial roles within the organization. Prior to AESC, Alastair was involved with Envision-AESC from April 2019 to May 2022 as a Service Delivery Lead Controller, supporting battery plant operations and contributing to global projects. Alastair's extensive experience also includes a significant tenure at the Nissan Battery Plant, where duties encompassed providing technical support for manufacturing execution systems, database maintenance, and infrastructure management. Additional roles include Assistant Network Manager and ICT Technician at Whickham School and Sports College, focusing on network infrastructure development and IT support. Alastair holds a degree in Applied Computing for Business from Leeds Beckett University.
