Nick Kassanis, PE has a diverse work experience in the fields of green building consulting, imaging technology, commissioning, and engineering. Nick currently serves as the President of Sustainable Investment Group (SIG), a full-service green building consulting firm. In this role, they provide environmentally focused solutions and supports professionals in achieving high-performance buildings. Prior to their presidency, Nick held roles as Senior Vice President, Vice President of Technical Services, Senior Energy Consultant, and Commissioning Authority at SIG.

Apart from SIG, Nick is also a Co-Founder and Business Advisor at Aetos Imaging, where they contribute their expertise in business development and advisory services. Before joining SIG and Aetos Imaging, they worked at WorkingBuildings, LLC as an Associate Commissioning Authority.

Nick's early work experience includes serving as Team Lead at Georgia Tech Capstone Senior Design, where they led a team in developing projects. Additionally, they gained valuable experience as a Mechanical Engineer Intern at TERNA SA, where they focused on thermal power plants and applied thermodynamics.

Throughout their career, Nick has demonstrated their commitment to sustainable practices and has contributed significantly to the green building industry through education, training, and consulting services.

Nick Kassanis, PE earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their International Baccalaureate Bilingual Diploma at the American Community Schools of Athens, where the field of study was not specified. Nick Kassanis, PE also holds several additional certifications including the Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP) from the Association of Energy Engineers in 2015, the LEED AP BD+C from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) in 2013, and a Professional Engineer (PE) license from the Georgia Secretary of State in May 2016, as well as a Professional Engineer (PE) license from the New York State Education Department in September 2020.
