Shirish Altekar

Shirish Altekar is an accomplished Principal DSP Engineer at Aeva, where Shirish has been designing DSP datapaths for high precision FMCW lidar used in metrology applications since August 2021. Previously, as a Principal Engineer at Sentons from 2011 to 2018, Shirish focused on signal processing for ultrasound touch sensors for displays and strain gauge touch sensors for mobile phones. Shirish also served as a Consultant at Telegent Systems, contributing to ghost cancellation for analog TV and proof of concept work for ultrasound touch sensors. As a Principal Engineer at Telegent Systems from 2005 to 2007, Shirish developed OFDM baseband receiver architecture for DVB-H and collaborated with digital hardware engineers on design specifications. Earlier roles include developing baseline wander compensation for disk-drive read-channel integrated circuits at Marvell and creating signal processing architectures for ADSL, Ethernet, and DVD chips at LSI Logic. Education includes a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego and master's and bachelor's degrees from Queen's University and the University of Waterloo, respectively.
