Darren Butler

Darren Butler has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and aerospace. Darren started their career at Sarnoff Corporation in 2005 as a Technology Leader and later moved on to Perceptive Research and Engineering in 2010 as a Company Owner. In 2011, they joined SRI International as a Senior Computer Scientist. Darren then transitioned to AEVEX Aerospace in 2013, initially as Chief Scientist and later as Director of Software Engineering. Throughout their time at AEVEX Aerospace, they held the position of Chief Scientist until 2022.

Darren Butler completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a second Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 1995 to 1999. Subsequently, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Vision at QUT from 2000 to 2005.
