Robert Plumb

Bob Plumb is an Executive Managing Director of AEW’s Private Equity in North America and serves on the firm’s Investment Committee and Risk Management Committee for the region. Previously led, Mr. Plumb AEW’s Direct Investment Group's acquisitions and capital markets teams, responsible for sourcing, negotiating, underwriting and closing investment opportunities for AEW’s core and value-added clients. Mr. Plumb has 36 years of real estate experience, including extensive acquisitions and portfolio management experience. During his career, he has been responsible for the acquisition and structuring of over $25 billion of real estate transactions. He joined the firm in 1989 as an asset manager with a significant focus on industrial and office properties in California and the southwestern U.S. Prior to that, he worked for the Kuwait Investment Office as an Investment Manager for its U.S. real estate and alternative investment portfolio. He is active in the senior leadership of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Mr. Plumb is a graduate of Trinity College (B.A.) and Columbia University (M.S.).
