Samir Aghazada

Samir Aghazada is a seasoned professional in internal audit and risk management, currently serving as the Head of the Internal Audit Department at Azərşəkər MMC since April 2024. Additionally, Samir holds positions as a Member of the Audit Committee at both AZSIĞORTA ASC and AFB Bank OJSC since June 2023 and February 2022, respectively. Prior roles include Internal Audit Manager at MKT Cotton LLC and MINGACHEVIR TEXTILE, and Head of Analysis and Methodology of Risks and Reporting Division at Bank VTB (Azerbaijan). Samir began the professional journey as an Audit Associate at KPMG Azerbaijan and also worked as a Leading Specialist in the Operation Department at DemirBank. An academic background includes a Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance and a Bachelor's degree in International Economic Relations, both earned from Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC).
