Along with his brother Jim, Clay manages the operations of Interior Exterior (INEX) which is a second-generation gypsum specialty dealer. The Company has 25 locations spanning the southeast and encompassing the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Texas, and Florida.
Clay is married with three children, one son in law, and one grandson. He received a B.S. in Finance from Louisiana State University in 1984 and an MBA from Tulane University in 1986. Clay began his career in the drywall distribution industry upon graduation in 1986 when the company was quite small.
Clay served on the Executive Committee of the Drake Group from 2015 until its merger with AD on April 1, 2019 and was its Chairman in 2018. He has served on the board of the Gypsum Supply Division since the merger in 2019 and has been its Chairman since 2020. He is an active member of several business associations and supports many philanthropic endeavors.
