Brian Austin

Brian Austin has a diverse and extensive work experience in various technology-related roles. Brian began their career as a Network Analyst at Global Crossing, Inc. in 1999. Brian then worked as a Senior Network Engineer at ABLE, Inc. for over three years, where they handled network consulting and system configurations for educational, government, and commercial clients.

In 2004, Brian joined Red Mountain Machinery as the Director of IT, where they managed the company's IT operations for over three years. Brian then worked as a Senior Network Engineer and Operations Manager at Strategic Technology Communications, Inc. for almost two years, overseeing the design and implementation of telecom links between commercial, educational, and government facilities.

Brian later joined Advertising Checking Bureau as the Tempe Systems Infrastructure Lead, responsible for managing infrastructure systems such as network, servers, communication circuits, and workstations.

In 2010, Brian joined Blackboard as a Senior Manager, handling client support and network operations. Brian received promotions and eventually became the Vice President, where they managed Cloud Services, IT Operations, and oversaw a budget of over $32 million. Brian also played a significant role in the successful divestment of the Transact business unit.

Brian then joined Transact Campus Inc. as the Chief Technology Officer, where they led the alignment of product development, engineering, cloud services, central IT, and client support. Brian managed a budget of over $40 million and championed the company's technical vision.

Afterward, Brian worked as an Independent Consultant, specializing in organizational change management, cloud migrations, M&A integrations, and interim CIO responsibilities. Brian also provided cloud cost optimization services and IT operational enhancements.

In 2022, Brian joined Affinaquest as the Chief Technology Officer, restructuring and combining all technical teams into a single CTO-led organization. Brian is responsible for product engineering, cloud services, client support, information security, and facilities.
