Jackson Lee has worked in various roles since 2006. Jackson began their career as a Thermal and Environmental Analyst for MEI Technologies, Inc. in 2006. In 2012, they held a Post-Doctorate position at the Colorado School of Mines and a Postdoctorate Research Scientist position at the NASA Ames Research Center, where they were involved in a joint NASA/DOE project to investigate the system level influences of complex microbial mat communities on biohydrogen production. In 2015, they became a Technical Staff at the MIT Lincoln Laboratory. From 2017 to 2019, they worked as a Data Scientist at Finch Therapeutics Group and a Senior Scientist and Scientist II at Kaleido Biosciences. Currently, they are a Principal Scientist at Affinia Therapeutics.
Jackson Lee obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University in 2002. Jackson then went on to obtain their Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2004. Afterward, they returned to the Colorado School of Mines where they earned their Master of Science in Environmental Science and Engineering in 2010, followed by their PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering in 2012.
