Principal Research Associate, Process Development at Affinia Therapeutics

Matthew Bennett has worked in a variety of roles in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries since 2015. In 2015, they worked as a Farm Hand at Mike Agan Farms. In 2017, they worked as a REU Research Intern at the University of North Texas, where they synthesized Graphene Oxide using the modified Hummers method and investigated the effects of different washing and drying methods on the structure and thermal properties of Graphene Oxide materials. In 2018, they worked as a Bioprocess Associate at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where they were responsible for operating manufacturing processes focused on protein purification using chromatography and membrane filtration. In 2019, they worked as a Process Development Associate at Amgen, where they had experience in process characterization (report writing and experimental execution), design of experiments (DOE), and new technology development activities. Currently, they are working as a Senior Research Associate Process Science and Research Associate Process Science at Affinia Therapeutics.

Matthew Bennett attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2014 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
