Allison Drain

Allison Drain has a diverse work experience in the fields of science, tutoring, and research. Allison is currently working as a Scientist III at Affini-T Therapeutics since July 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Scientist II at the same company from December 2021 to July 2022. Before joining Affini-T Therapeutics, Allison worked as a Kilachand Postdoctoral Associate at Boston University from September 2020 to December 2021, where they utilized engineering principles to understand fibrosis resolution and design new therapeutics. Allison also had a Ph.D. Candidate position at UC Berkeley-UCSF Graduate Program in Bioengineering from August 2014 to June 2020, where they focused on studying the role of tissue fibrosis in breast tumor progression and metastasis. Additionally, Allison has experience as a Math and Science Tutor at Calliope Academic Mentoring from January 2018 to May 2019. Allison also worked as a Regulatory Affairs Intern at entrotech life sciences inc. in May 2015 and a Freshmen Tutor at University of Nebraska–Lincoln Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from December 2013 to May 2014. Lastly, they had a Research Assistant position at University of Nebraska–Lincoln from July 2011 to May 2014 and was a SUCCESS Research Intern at The Ohio State University in June 2013.

Allison Drain completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 2009 to 2013. Allison then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering at UC Berkeley/UCSF from 2014 to 2020.
