Honglin Z.

Honglin Z. is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in high-scale infrastructure and real-time systems. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer and Tech Lead at Affirm since October 2022, Honglin Z. focuses on the development of next-generation checkout products. Previously, at Twitter from October 2015 to October 2022, Honglin Z. bootstrapped a new team to enhance the development lifecycle of machine learning features and led the integration of multiple rules engines for content health with zero downtime. Prior experience includes positions at Amazon Web Services, where Honglin Z. contributed to the performance and scalability of CloudFront CDN and the Kindle Fire browser, as well as teaching assistant roles at the University of Pennsylvania and research at Tsinghua University. Honglin Z. holds a Master’s degree in Computer and Information Technology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Physics from Tsinghua University.
