Peter Orr has a strong work experience in the disability sector. Peter is currently serving as the Chief Operations Officer at the Australian Foundation For Disability (Afford) since February 2022. Previously, they worked at New Horizons Enterprises Limited from 2012 to 2021, where their roles included Chief Customer Service Officer, Service Excellence Manager, Regional Manager, and Area Coordinator/Coordinator. In their role as Chief Customer Service Officer, they successfully led a major strategic project for digital transformation and managed a workforce of over 1000 people during the Covid19 outbreaks.
Peter Orr's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Science in Psychology from the University of Canberra, obtained from 2004 to 2007. Peter also pursued a Masters degree in International Public Health/Health Management at UNSW from 2011 to 2012. Currently, Peter is a candidate for a Master of Business Administration (Executive MBA) at UNSW, which they started in 2017 and is still ongoing. In addition to their academic degrees, Peter has obtained certifications in PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner from APMG International in September 2016, and in Prosci Change Management from Being Human Pty Ltd in 2015.
