Bill Centrella

Bill Centrella is an experienced microbiologist with a strong background in laboratory management and special projects within the food safety industry. Currently serving as Special Projects Manager at AFL - Analytical Food Laboratories since April 2019, Bill has previously held the same title at Eurofins from April 2013 to March 2019, where responsibilities included the preparation and execution of challenge studies and method validation. Earlier roles include Corporate Microbiologist at Kunzler & Co Inc, overseeing an internal microbiological testing laboratory, and progressive positions at Food Safety Net Services, where Bill gained extensive experience in sample processing and pathogen screening. Bill began their career as a Laboratory Technician at IDEXX Food Safety Net and Keystone Foods, establishing a solid foundation in microbiology. Bill earned a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from Penn State University in 1993.
