Evangelina Hernandez

Evangelina Hernandez is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Western Region Communications Coordinator for AFL-CIO since September 2020. Prior to this role, Evangelina worked as a Communications & Media Specialist for the San Diego & Imperial Counties Labor Council from March 2018 to September 2020, and initially held a Communications Intern position there. Evangelina’s experience also includes serving as an intern for Supervisor Greg Cox in the County of San Diego and contributing to global development strategies at Lima Rural Development. Additionally, Evangelina co-founded the Barrio Logan Outreach Initiative, focusing on cultural education and mentorship for students. Evangelina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from the University of San Diego, earned in 2018.
