Dr Melissa Weinberg

Dr. Melissa Weinberg is a prominent professional in the field of psychology, currently serving as the Head of Wellbeing & Mental Health at the AFL Players' Association, since January 2024. With extensive experience as an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Psychology at ISN Psychology, Dr. Weinberg also maintains a private practice through LifePsych Consulting, where services are provided to elite athletes, young individuals, veterans, and Holocaust survivors. Dr. Weinberg hosted the Bad Decisions Podcast from September 2017 to January 2024, exploring human decision-making processes. Additionally, roles as a consultant psychologist for various professional sports teams and an Honorary Fellow at Deakin University further complement Dr. Weinberg’s impressive background, supported by academic qualifications, including a PhD in Psychology and a Master's in Applied Psychology (Sport).
