Michael Smart

Michael Smart serves as the Executive Manager of Employment Services at AFL SportsReady since May 2017, overseeing national employment programs in a Group Training Operations context with a focus on collaborative leadership and problem-solving. Previously held roles include Acting Chief Executive Officer and General Manager for Central and Western Australia, where Michael managed state operations and led national initiatives. Michael also served as State Manager for SA/NT at AFL SportsReady, enhancing the organization's regional presence, and worked as a Consultant at Maxima Group Inc. and a Project Officer at ISS Facility Services A/S. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the University of South Australia, along with diplomas in Business Management and Human Resources from TAFE SA.
