Yewande Thorpe

Yewande Thorpe has extensive work experience in marketing, communications, and leadership roles. Yewande currently holds the position of Associate Vice President of Marketing & Communications at Africa Finance Corporation since 2020. Prior to this, they worked at GE as the Head of Communications and as the Brand Marketing & Digital Lead. Yewande joined GE in 2013 and completed the Communications Leadership Development Program. Yewande also has experience as a Network Engineer at SCHLUMBERGER SUPPORT NIGERIA LTD and as an IT Helpdesk Support intern at LM Ericsson Nigeria.

Yewande Thorpe completed a BSc in Computer Science at the University of Lagos from 2004 to 2008. In 2010 to 2011, they obtained an MSc in Information Systems and management from Warwick Business School.
