Roger Tucker

Roger Tucker has a diverse and extensive work experience. Roger began their career as a Managing Director at Yukos Oil in 2001 and held this position until 2004. Following this, they worked as a Partner at Tucker Energy Associates Ltd for a short period in 2005. Later that year, they became the Chief Executive Officer of African Arabian Petroleum Ltd and held this role until 2007. From 2007 to 2009, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of Latitude Energy.

In 2009, Tucker joined BG Group as a Senior Vice President and remained in this position until 2013. Roger then became a Partner at Prostar Capital from 2013 to 2015, followed by a Partner role at Vanwall Capital from 2015 to 2022. In 2020, they took on the role of Non Executive Chairman at Viaro Energy, which lasted until 2022.

Most recently, Tucker has worked as a Non Executive Director at PetroTal Corp. since December 2019. Additionally, they will assume the role of President and Chief Executive Officer at Africa Oil Corp. in July 2023.

Roger Tucker attended Newcastle University from 1975 to 1978, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Geology. Roger later pursued further education at the same university from 1978 to 1981, earning a Ph.D in Geology.
