Eric Malterre

Eric Malterre is a seasoned insurance and finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across multiple regions. Currently serving as Chief Underwriting Officer at Africa Specialty Risks since June 2025, Eric previously held the position of Chief Client Officer for International Markets at Sedgwick from 2019 to September 2025, where responsibilities included acting as CEO for Asia from 2022 to 2023. Prior to that, Eric was Chief Underwriting Officer at AXA Africa Specialty Risks (2016-2019), Commercial Director for Coface Global Solutions Asia Pacific (2014-2016), and held various strategic roles at Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. from 2003 to 2014. Eric's career began in the French Army as a Lieutenant and Captain, specializing in military operations.
