Ogutu Okudo

Ogutu Okudo is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector and strategic communications. Currently serving as an Executive Committee Member at the University of Aberdeen since June 2023 and as Founder and CEO of Guuru Energy since July 2021, Ogutu has held significant leadership roles, including Advisory Board Member at the African Energy Chamber and Non-Executive Director at BBOXX. Previously, Ogutu was the Country Manager and Business Development Director for SpringRock Group, and held executive positions at the National Oil Corporation of Kenya and the President's Delivery Unit in the Executive Office of the President, focusing on ESG and strategic communications. Ogutu's educational background includes a Master of Science in Oil and Gas Enterprise Management from the University of Aberdeen and a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Policy and Diplomacy from United States International University - Africa.
