Juliette Keeley

Head of Impact and Institutional Learning at African Leadership Group

Juliette Keeley has over 10 years of experience in the field of international development. Juliette began their career in 2011 as a Secondary Education Mathematics Volunteer with the Peace Corps. In 2013, they joined the NYC Department of Education as a Program Associate, where they coordinated evaluations for 80 reviewers in 1,270 schools, oversaw work assignments and a $414,000 budget for 21 consultants, and coordinated a pilot program for online testing in 90 schools. In 2016, they became a Researcher in the Office of the President at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), where they conducted research on humanitarian mediation, negotiation, refugees and education. In 2017, they joined the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) as a West Africa Policy Consultant and Senior Policy Associate, investigating Teaching at the Right Level projects in Ghana, Senegal, and Niger, and partnering with State and Local policymakers to catalyze and support randomized evaluations. In 2018, Juliette joined Instiglio as a Manager, where they managed multi-million dollar French-speaking projects and teams of up to 9 people to deliver Results-Based Financing and performance management expertise. Juliette also served as Kenya Office Head (Interim). Finally, in 2021, Juliette joined the African Leadership Group as Head of Impact, where they lead impact measurement and analysis, with particular focus on the African Leadership University and The Room.

Juliette Keeley has a diverse educational background. Juliette obtained a High School Diploma from Lycee International de St. Germain-en-Laye in 2007. Juliette then went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from the University of Chicago in 2011. In 2015, they earned a Master's degree in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School. Juliette also has several certifications, such as The Data Scientist’s Toolbox from Coursera Verified Certificates in 2015, Exploratory Data Analysis in R from DataCamp in 2022, Intermediate Data Visualization with ggplot2 from DataCamp in 2021, and Intermediate R from DataCamp in 2021.
