Pamela Levira

Policy Officer, Climate Change at African Union

Pamela Levira currently serves as a Policy Officer for Climate Change at the African Union in Addis Ababa, where responsibilities include research on climate change adaptation, low carbon development, and resilience building, drawing on seven years of relevant experience. Previously, Pamela held the position of Policy Officer at the Tanzania Meteorological Agency from April 2002 to June 2019, contributing to the preparation of climate status reports for the nation. Additionally, Pamela worked as a part-time assistant lecturer at Sokoine University of Agriculture between 2012 and 2014. Educational credentials include a Master of Climate Change Adaptation focusing on climate change resilience from the University of the Sunshine Coast, a Postgraduate Diploma in Meteorology from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences and Management from Chuo Kikuu Cha Sokoine Cha Kilimo.
