Steve Lalande

Steve Lalande is an experienced professional in partnerships management and resource mobilization, currently serving as the Director of Partnerships Management and Resource Mobilisation at the African Union since April 2023. Previous roles include AU EASF Liaison Officer for the Eastern Africa Standby Force, Director-General of the Regional Affairs Division at the Seychelles Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tourism, and Special Advisor in the Office of the Vice President of Seychelles. Steve has a diverse background in executive management, policy engagement, and capacity building, having held leadership positions such as Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Engagement Platform Seychelles and Head of Civilian Component at the East African Standby Force. Educational qualifications include an Executive Programme in Non-profit Strategic Management from Harvard Kennedy School and multiple advanced degrees in peace, conflict studies, and business administration from prestigious institutions.
