Minna Pirilä

Minna Pirilä is an accomplished professional in the field of sustainability and environmental engineering, currently serving as the Head of Section for Sustainability Services at AFRY since September 2020. With extensive experience in various leadership roles, including Head of Strategic Business Development in the Water Business Unit and Manager and Country Lead for Sustainability Consulting at AFRY, Minna specializes in sustainability topics such as Circular Economy, Climate Change, Biodiversity, and Carbon Accounting. Previous positions include Senior Environmental Consultant at Ramboll and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oulu, where research focused on advanced wastewater treatment processes. Minna holds a Master of Science in Physical Chemistry and a Doctor of Science in Environmental Engineering, both from the University of Oulu, and has contributed to multiple research projects and consultancy services throughout an impressive career spanning over two decades.
