Intercultural Qualified Facilitator (qf) at AFS Intercultural Programs

Tharusha Dilshan is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, expected to graduate in September 2026. Tharusha serves as an APU Student Ambassador, collaborating directly with the university's president's office to guide campus visitors and engage in presentations for various groups. As a Resident Assistant, Tharusha supports new residents in adjusting to campus life. Additionally, Tharusha holds the position of Director of International Relations with AIESEC and has interned with the Consortium of Indo-Pacific Researchers, furthering engagement in international dialogue. Tharusha is also involved as a volunteer staff member with AFS Japan and as an Intercultural Qualified Facilitator for AFS Intercultural Programs, facilitating global competence learning. Teaching roles include Japanese Lecturer at the Sputnik International Education Center and Japanese Teacher at Saku JLC, alongside coordination of international projects with SISLO. Academic background includes high school education focused on foreign languages and liberal arts.
