Russ recently retired from nonprofit management after 30 years. During his career, he worked in youth leadership and career development. For the past 20 years, he worked as president/CEO of Agriculture Future of America, a Kansas City-based organization where he was the founding executive. Russ also served as national executive director of Camp Fire, Inc. and vice-president of the National 4-H Council based in Washington, D.C. During his private sector career of nearly 20 years, Russ worked with farmer cooperatives, Farmland Industries, Inc. in Kansas City and FCX, Inc., Farmer Supply and Marketing cooperative based in the Carolinas. Currently, Russ serves as chair of the board of directors for Agriculture Future of America. He holds a master’s in organizational administration from the University of Maryland.
