Nikhil Bartwal

Nikhil Bartwal has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Nikhil is currently the Head of Machine Learning at AfterShoot Inc., where they lead machine learning initiatives. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and a Machine Learning Engineer at the same company.

Nikhil also served as a Lead Data Science Instructor at ShapeAI, where they taught Python, Data Analysis, Statistics, Data Wrangling, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning to a group of 120 national and international students. Nikhil mentored students of various academic backgrounds, ranging from freshmen to post-graduates.

During their time with Summer of Bitcoin, Nikhil worked as a Bitcoin Core Developer. Nikhil'sresponsibilities included implementing chain reorgs in the Bitcoin Signet network, improving the Signet Faucet's behavior, and enhancing the underlying architecture.

As a TensorFlow Datasets Contributor at TensorFlow, Nikhil made significant contributions to the platform. Some of their work involved creating scripts for detecting and deleting old/redundant datasets, adding release notes and dataset modules, fixing faulty datasets, and reviewing pull requests.

Nikhil also has experience as a self-employed Data Science and ML Developer. Nikhil worked on projects such as developing a Tensorflow ML model for classifying prostate cancer severity, creating a deep learning Android app for identifying animals and plants, performing exploratory data analysis on a retail company dataset, and optimizing wind farm energy production using constrained gradient descent.

Additionally, Nikhil worked as a Software QA Tester at test IO, Junior Technical Team Co-Head at Cyber Cup, and Web Developer at SULA NYC. Nikhil also served as an ATL Member at Bal Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, where they contributed to various projects in the Atal Tinkering Lab group.

Nikhil Bartwal completed their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science from Amity University, from the years 2018-2022. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma in Computer Science from B.V.M Sr. Sec. School, between the years 2014-2018.
