Jason Cook

Jason Cook started their work experience in 2007 as a Travel Counselor at American Express Global Business Travel. In 2009, they transitioned to a role as a Customer Service Professional before becoming a Complex Health Claim Adjudicator in 2011. Jason then served as a Senior Health Claims Adjudicator from 2012 to 2013, providing mentoring and support to team members. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Training and Documentation Specialist, creating and facilitating training on Group Health Insurance claims payment. Jason then held the position of Business Process Improvement Analyst from 2014 to 2019, identifying risks and creating efficiencies for various internal departments. In 2019, Jason became a Digitization Business Analyst/Designer, focusing on creating a digital customer form experience for insurance products. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Training and Business Process Improvement Analyst, developing a knowledge management sharepoint site for claims processing. Currently, Jason is working as a Senior Business Analyst at AFTIA Solutions, starting in 2021.

Jason Cook has a diverse education history. In 2006 to 2007, they obtained a Travel and Tourism Diploma from Eastern College, specializing in Travel and Tourism. Later, in 2013, they pursued a Group Benefits Associate (GBA) degree from CEBS - International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans/Dalhousie University. Their field of study was Group Health and Dental Plan Administration. Additionally, Jason obtained the Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) degree from the same institution between 2016 and 2018, focusing on Retirement Plan Administration.
