Sophia Mirzayee M.a.ed.

Sophia Mirzayee, M.A.Ed., serves as the Education & Youth Engagement Officer at Aga Khan Foundation Canada since October 2021, focusing on creating engaging learning opportunities for K-12 students related to international development and global citizenship. Prior experience includes roles at the United Nations Association in Canada as Community Liaison and Project Officer, where responsibilities involved recruiting Youth Ambassadors and overseeing SDG youth initiatives. Additional roles encompass Support Coordinator at YMCA of Greater Toronto, Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa, and various positions aimed at youth programming and advocacy, including an internship at Canada Without Poverty. Sophia holds a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights from Carleton University.
