Preston Roberts

Preston Roberts joined the AgAmerica team in May of 2020 and is the Associate Director of Credit at the AgAmerica West headquarters located in Boise, Idaho. His education and diverse work experience provide him with a deep understanding of finance, allowing him to develop unique loan products that meet the needs of nation’s farmers and ranchers.

Preston graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S.B.A. in finance in 2013. After earning his degree, he spent five years working for Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., primarily within Equity Capital Markets where he was a member of the Syndicate desk. In this role, he participated in the execution and closing of 421 ECM transactions and offerings including initial public offerings, marketed follow-ons, block trades, convertible debt offerings, and private placements. He also worked as a licensed trader supporting the Corporate Services desk where he was responsible for the daily trade execution, reporting, and settlement of corporate cash transactions such as open-market repurchase programs.

In 2018, Preston moved to Boise, Idaho, and started working as a Real Estate Analyst with Albertsons’ Companies. During his time there, Preston performed real estate financial modeling and analysis of new stores, fuel centers, purchases and sales, leases and subleases, and structured lease renewals.

As Associate Director of Credit and team lead at AgAmerica’s West headquarters, Preston is responsible for the underwriting and execution of agricultural loans across the western half of the country. This includes managing the due diligence process, executing quantitative and qualitative analyses of loan requests, and writing and presenting loan packages for approval. He facilitates third-party relationships, develops alternative products and loan structures, and works to create efficiencies for AgAmerica’s loan process.
