EVP of Administration at AGB Investigative Services In

Johnny Tyler leads the company’s administrative functions and the two nonprofits, with responsibility for Fleet, Fingerprinting, Facilities, The AGB Institute and AGB Foundation. In his previous role with AGB, he served as Director of Human Resources from 2011 to 2017. Tyler was responsible for managing employee growth from 160 employees to 700 employees.

In 2017 he transitioned to the Chief Training Officer of the Education and Training Department. During his tenure as the Chief Training Officer at AGB he was responsible for the AGB Institute to becoming licensed by the Illinois Department of Finance and Professional Regulations, approved by The Illinois Board of Higher Education, certified by the Illinois State Board of Education, designated as a partner with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, and an Academic Partner with CompTIA. To build program capacity he coordinated and maintained Strategic Community Partnerships with stakeholders such as Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership, Chicago CRED, Youth Connection Charter Schools, Metropolitan Family Services, Community Assistance Program Services, and successfully led the effort to have the Security Industry recognized as a Demand Occupation in the State of Illinois.

In 1992 he founded the African American Family Association-Life Skills Institute of America and has background experience in Community Development, Organization Structure, and is credentialed in a variety of disciplines, including Certified Ethics Associate, Six Sigma Black Belt Professional, Personal Life Coach, Leadership Development Instructor, Certified Taser Instructor, a Certified Active Shooter Instructor, a member of American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS International), and a past member of the Society of Human Resource Managers.

He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Midwest Apostolic Bible College, Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development from North Park University and Associates Degree in Social Service Family Welfare from Kennedy King College.
