Paul Ulanch serves as the Senior Director of Focused Initiatives and Executive Director of the Crop Commercialization Program at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center (NCBiotech) since October 2011. In these roles, Paul identifies strategic projects to enhance the North Carolina life science ecosystem, co-leads the Ag Tech Loan program, and created the Entrepreneurial Showcase to support local entrepreneurs. Previous positions include Director of Tech Commercialization Services at NC SBTDC, leading a team that doubled in size and secured significant funding for economic development, and various roles at the University of Pittsburgh, including Research Instructor and Intellectual Property Consultant. Paul holds an Executive MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a PhD in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University.
