Randall Johnson

Executive Director, Southeastern Office at North Carolina Biotechnology Center (NCBiotech)

Randall Johnson has diverse experience in various organizations related to economic development and biotechnology. Randall served as the Executive Director of the North Carolina Biotechnology Center's Southeastern Office, where they focused on building community capacity and promoting biotechnology-focused economic development in the southeastern region. Randall was also involved in the establishment of the Advisory Committee for Biotechnology in Southeastern North Carolina. Johnson served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at UNC Wilmington College of Health and Human Services. Additionally, they were a Board member and Past President of the North Carolina Economic Development Association, advocating for the state's economic future. Johnson also served as the Past Board Chair of the Southeastern Economic Development Commission, working to stimulate economic growth in Southeastern North Carolina. Randall was a former Board member of the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association.

Randall Johnson obtained a BA in Psychology, cum laude, from Wake Forest University in 1993. Randall later pursued an MBA in Entrepreneurship, E-Business & IT Management, and Operations from the Wake Forest University School of Business, graduating in 2002. In addition to their academic degrees, they completed the Basic Economic Development Course from UNC School of Government in 2011. Randall also holds certifications in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Development Strategies, Technology-led Economic Development, Economic Development Strategic Planning, and Business Retention and Expansion from the International Economic Development Council, completed in the years 2013 and 2014. Randall Johnson is a graduate of Leadership North Carolina Class XV, although the years of attendance are not specified.
