Lígia Carinha Gomes

Lígia Carinha Gomes is an accomplished professional in the field of biological sciences, currently serving as Director of Late Stage Process Development at AGC Biologics since April 2018. With extensive experience in upstream process development, Lígia has held various roles at AGC Biologics, including Manager and Team Leader. Prior to this, Lígia worked at CMC Biologics A/S as a Scientist and conducted postdoctoral research at Kræftens Bekæmpelse, focusing on SUMOylation during autophagy. Lígia's academic background includes a PhD in Biology with a specialization in Molecular Biology from Universidade de Coimbra and a Licentiate degree in Biochemistry from Universidade do Porto. The research journey began with a PhD fellowship at the Venetian Institute of Molecular Medicine and also includes contributions to several prestigious institutions and projects in the field of cancer biology and molecular signaling.
