Elena Cupingood

Elena Cupingood has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries and positions. Elena is currently serving as the Director of Operations in the Schools Division at Age of Learning since August 2022. Prior to this role, Elena held several leadership positions at Vantage Learning, including Vice President of Operations from January 2017 to August 2022, Vice President of Writing Products and Analytics for K-12 and Higher Ed Institutions from August 2015 to December 2016, and Product Marketing Manager for Consumer and Professional Writing from November 2012 to July 2015.

Before joining Vantage Learning, Elena worked at the School District of Philadelphia. Their roles in the district included Special Assistant to the Superintendent from August 2010 to February 2012, Director of Business Operations in the Chief Business Office from January 2009 to July 2010, Director of Strategic and Special Programs in the Office of Facilities and School Operations from August 2006 to December 2008, Manager of Strategic Initiatives in the Office of Facilities and School Operations from August 2005 to July 2006, and Manager of Logistics and Supply Chain Distribution in the Office of Procurement Services from August 2004 to July 2005.

Elena also gained valuable experience at Dell Inc., where they held multiple roles including Manager of Public Transactional EBusiness from April 2003 to June 2004, Business Planning Manager from May 2002 to March 2003, Senior Product Manager from August 2001 to April 2002, and Product Manager from August 2000 to July 2001.

To start their career, Elena worked at Bell Atlantic Network Services as a Software Engineer from December 1996 to June 1998 and as a Programmer from June 1995 to November 1996.

Elena Cupingood received a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Business Analysis from Penn State University, where they attended from 1991 to 1995. Elena later pursued a Master of Business Administration degree specializing in Information Technology and Business Transformation at MIT Sloan School of Management from 1998 to 2000.
