Jim Murphy

SVP Healthcare at Ageless Innovation

Jim Murphy is the Senior Vice President of Healthcare at Ageless Innovation. Jim has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including executive roles at UnitedHealthcare and AARP.

At UnitedHealthcare, Jim served as Vice President of Innovation from May 2014 to October 2019. In this role, they were responsible for leading the company's innovation agenda and collaborating with AARP on various innovation initiatives. These initiatives included a multi-million-dollar portfolio of projects focused on caregiving, diabetes prevention, fall prevention, social isolation/loneliness, Alzheimer's/dementia support, advance care planning, and Medicare education and decision support.

Jim was also responsible for developing and executing thought leadership initiatives on behalf of UnitedHealthcare and AARP. These initiatives included the establishment of an online community focused on entrepreneurial opportunities to serve the 50+ population. In addition, Jim was a co-founder of the Project Catalyst research consortium among unlikely partners, including AARP, UnitedHealthcare, Pfizer, MedStar Health, and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Jim has also been a lead sponsor and advisor to industry challenges focused on Alzheimer's support and fall prevention as curated through the OpenIDEO platform. In addition, they have acted as lead on other key programs within Medicare & Retirement including Solutions for Caregivers, My Advocate (social determinants of health), and piloting of In-home Non-medical Care programs.

Jim Murphy has a Master's degree in Marketing from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School and a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Delaware.

Jim Murphy reports to Ted Fischer, Co-Founder & CEO. They work with Dan Gipson - CFO, Meghan Gamboa - Co-Founder & SVP, Marketing and Retail Sales, and Tom Canterino - Co-Founder & VP, Business Development & B2B Sales.
