Scientist II at Agenus

Lai-Kay Cheung, PhD, is a Scientist II at Agenus since May 2022, with a substantial background in cell line generation and genetic modification techniques, including CRISPR, flow cytometry, and digital PCR. Prior to this role, Lai-Kay served as Lead Scientist and Senior Scientist at Lonza from October 2016 to May 2022, contributing to EHS efforts and lab maintenance. Earlier experience includes a position as Scientific Officer at The Francis Crick Institute, where Lai-Kay developed a mouse model for B cell malignancy and designed a CRISPR construct. Lai-Kay's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, an MSc in Cancer Cell and Molecular Biology, and a BmedSci in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Cancer Pathology, all obtained from the University of Leicester and the University of Birmingham.
