Michael Archibald

Michael Archibald, CFA, CMT, CAIA has extensive work experience in portfolio management and equity analysis. Michael currently holds the position of Vice President and Portfolio Manager at AGF Investments since February 2020. Prior to this, they worked as an Associate Portfolio Manager for equities at AGF Investments from November 2015 to February 2020.

Before joining AGF Investments, Archibald served as a Portfolio Manager for equities at Aurion Capital Management from March 2012 to November 2015. In this role, they were responsible for stock selection, portfolio management, and trading of institutional, high net worth, and retail investment products.

Michael started their career at CPMS Inc. in January 2007 as a Senior Institutional Account Manager and Quantitative Analyst. CPMS Inc. provides portfolio management, equity data, and investment consulting services to institutional and money managers in Canada and the U.S. Archibald worked at CPMS Inc. until March 2012.

Michael Archibald, CFA, CMT, CAIA, earned a BBA in Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University in the years 2000-2004. Michael later became a Charterholder with the CFA Institute in 2011 and achieved the same designation with the CMT Association. Additionally, Michael became a Charterholder with the CAIA Institute in 2008. Michael also attended the Canadian Securities Institute, though no specific degree or field of study was mentioned.
