Mike Belson has a diverse range of work experience in the environment, health, and safety field. Mike has held various positions in different companies over the years. Mike started their career at Thomson Laboratories EHS Consultants as a Project Leader in the Field Studies Group, where they managed health, safety, and environmental projects. Mike then worked for GE as a UK Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineer before joining Aggregate Industries UK as the UK Health and Safety Manager. In this role, they managed a team and ensured compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Mike later joined Entec as a Senior Consultant, where they implemented and managed various projects and contributed to business development. After that, they worked at Barhale plc as the Group Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager, where they advised the board and secured framework contracts. Mike then joined Caterpillar Inc., initially as a Divisional EHS Manager - IPSD and later as the Director - International Environment, Health & Safety Services (EAME, Asia Pacific, Latin America). In these roles, they coordinated EHS activities, developed business partner relationships, and established effective regional teams. Mike'smost recent position is at Aggregate Industries UK as the Health, Safety, and Environment Director.

Mike Belson obtained a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from NEBOSH in 1995. Prior to that, they earned an MSC in Environmental Pollution Control from the University of Leeds in 1990. Mike completed their BSc in Environmental Science at the University of Sunderland from 1986 to 1989. Between 1984 and 1986, they attended Norwich City College for A Levels. Mike Belson completed their high school education at Hellesdon High from 1978 to 1983.
